Why Volunteer at the Tivoli?

The Tivoli is a community run Cinema, at the heart of our local town, West Wyalong. Therefore, we need the support of the Community to be able to create something magical for all of our town to enjoy. When we work together, there is no limit to the magic that can be created! Would you like to be a part of that magic?

You will be provided with continual training in the roles of Ticket Seller, Candy Bar Operator, Usher & Supervisor. And you will be provided with a uniform.

But most of all, you will have been part of the Tivoli community and contributed to the magic together.

Volunteering at The Tivoli requires working as a team to bring the magic of movies to the fabulous people of West Wyalong and surrounds. We generally have someone on the Ticket machine, with a candy bar crew on the popcorn machine and filling orders. And an usher to greet patrons and help them make their way into the cinema. Then during the movie we restock the Candy Bar and do some light cleaning and organising. After the movie is finished we then rally together and clean all the spilled popcorn in the cinema and organise the bins and recycling. As well as having a great time chatting and laughing and getting to know each other. When we see the joy on the faces of the people of West Wyalong as they leave the cinema, we know we are lucky to part of something truly magical.

Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be over the age of 16. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be with a parent, guardian, or older sibling. We have a few parent/child teams on our roster and this is very welcomed and encouraged.
- A passion or eagerness to contribute to something great for West Wyalong and surrounds.
