“MY SPONTANEOUS JOURNEY”
My love of photography started some 30 years ago taking photographs of my two beautiful daughters “Leanne and Nicole,” and has continued to grow still today.
I am proud to say that I am born and raised in West Wyalong and I am fortunate to witness and love the laid back country lifestyle and friendly people that live there.
West Wyalong is known for the unique bent “Main Street” locally known as the “Crooked Mile,” which is lined on both sides with beautiful old buildings, where my love of photography continued.
I am a self-taught photographer, who attended many photography courses in an attempt to better understand the art of photography. I wanted my technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills, to produce and preserve images that would tell a story or record an event and would be etched in history.
My continued journey in the photography industry assisted me with being able to capture a wide variety of subject such as birds, landscapes, action shots, rustic relics and buildings to name a few. I would even take my husband “Robert,” on drives throughout a weekend. We would have no idea where we were driving to or where we would end up, but we would find little gems on our travel. It is sometimes the unexplained or unexpected findings that provide you the best photos or memories.
My motto is - “A good photographer must have a very keen eye for detail to ensure that all elements within the photo, the lighting, the composition, the subject and everything else in between work together harmoniously to convey the right vision or message.”
I hope the exhibition before you reflects my passion and unique love for photography.
